Are we still in the S.T.R.I.V.E. in 2025? Yes, we are. This race is not given to the swift or the strong, but it’s a race for the one who faithfully endures (Eccl. 9:11). It’s a S.T.R.I.V.E. to maintain in the way of Sound Doctrine. It is a S.T.R.I.V.E. to Value Others. It is a S.T.R.I.V.E. So just as the Lord told and commanded Joshua after the death of Moses and as they were to STRIVE on, he says to us “be strong and of good courage (Josh 1:9).

AS the month of April comes to a close, we’d like to invite you to join us in fellowship and worship this Sunday morning. As we see the Day of the Lord approaching, we are admonished, encouraged and challenged not to have the mindset of forsaking gathering together as some others have (Heb. 10:24-25). Gathering together with saints of like faith is in line with the faithful obedience of God’s word. It allows opportunities of service and sharing with others that the name of the Lord not be blasphemed. But on the contrary, it is detrimental to our obedience and maturing before our God-given leadership (Heb. 13:17).

There is no greater reason to celebrate our Christian faith than thru the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In the resurrection of Jesus, we have redemption of our sin. If there is no resurrection, then (according to the scriptures) we are yet in our sin and are yet enemies of God (I Cor. 15:13-15).
So, if you would, consider joining The BereanWay here at New Berean Baptist Church this Sunday as we celebrate the great victory over sin and sin through the immense and amazing grace of our loving and eternal God.
The resurrection is so important that God told us in I Cor. 15:12-17 that if Christ is not raised from the dead, then we are still in our sin. But He also included in Luke’s writings (Acts 17:31) that the assurance of his impending judgement and our victory over sin is found in the raising up of Jesus from the dead. Our salvation, and eternal hope rests in the reality that God did in fact raise Jesus and we celebrate it.
