Blessed New Year New Berean

EYES FIXED IN 2026 is the initial thought for this new year. But it’s also the the eternal mindset God wants us to carry into eternity (Heb. 12:2). Let the eyes of our faith be firmly fixed, focused and given wholly over to trusting in the Lord who is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Eyes Fixed in 2026 – Amid the adventurous experiences of the saints of old, the writer of the letter to the Hebrews gives a great incentive for us amid our experiences. “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth”, Heb. 11:13.

These believers had the eyes of their faith firmly fixed on the One who is the Author and Finisher, the Beginning and the End and the Alpha and Omega of their faith. Jesus once witnessed a falling away of his followers and asked the remaining, believers were they too going to leave his fold. Peter declared, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.” Jhn 6:68. In 2026, let us have our eyes fixed.

Blessed to See Another YearMinister Calvin Bullock shared with us in our annual Watch Night worship service the reasons why we are blessed to see another year and why we can have confidence in the year to come according to Ephesians 1:3-11.

  • We are Chosen in Christ, v4
  • We have a Destiny for Adoption, v5
  • We Have Redemption and Forgiveness Through His Blood, v7
  • We Have Been Made Known His Mysteries, v9
  • We Have Obtained an Inheritance, v11

Believing God for the Impossible -Thank you for your faithful giving to the ministry of New Berean. By God’s eternal grace and your cheerful giving, we are moving closer to a $0 balance. As Deacon Lawhorn mentioned last night, we are progressively reducing the debt balance of our mortgage. An official report will be coming soon at our next business budget meeting this month

Mission to Costa Rico – The Lord has commissioned us to go to the uttermost parts of the earth. When we can’t get there, we send and support those who can. Pastor Jean Paul Guilbaud and Sister Matilda have accepted our request to visit, share and serve in the country of Coast Rico. If you would like to be a part in the adventure, contact Deacon Lawhorn for details.
